DAY 2, Tuesday - Arrive in Warsaw
Arrive in Warsaw, Poland's capital city, and transfer to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM, followed by dinner. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 4 PM

DAY 3, Wednesday - Warsaw City Tour
Begin the day with a tour of Warsaw, including both banks of the Vistula River. Visit Lazienki Park to view Chopin's Monument, then travel along the Royal Route with its historic monuments and residences toward the Warsaw Ghetto. Walk through the cobbled streets to the Market Square, then see the Cathedral of St. John and the Royal Castle. Spend the balance of the day exploring on your own, or join the optional tour to Wilanow Palace*, which was built at the end of the 17th century for King Jan III Sobieski

DAY 4, Thursday - Jasna Gora Monastery
Travel south to Czestochowa to see the Paulite Monastery at Jasna Gora, home of the Black Madonna, a portrait of Our Lady that is said to have miraculous powers. Drive to Krakow, the former residence of the Polish kings. The remainder of the day is at leisure, or join the optional Wieliczka Salt Mine tour. The mine's historical importance, as well as the works of art carved into the walls by miners, have earned the Wieliczka Salt Mine a place on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list

DAY 5, Friday - Krakow City Tour, Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour
This morning, take a tour of medieval Krakow, including a visit to the 16th century Wawel Royal Castle District. Proceed to the Jewish Quarter and visit the Ghetto Heroes Square to view the Jewish Ghetto Memorial, called "The Lonely Chairs." Continue to the Old Town and Market Square to view St. Mary's Church and the Renaissance Cloth Hall. In the afternoon, tour Auschwitz-Birkenau, the infamous network of concentration camps from World War II and a UNESCO World Heritage Site

DAY 6, Saturday - Scenic Drive to Budapest
This morning, travel to the village of Orawka to view St. John the Baptist Church in the Upper Orava region of Poland. Continue through the scenic Tatra Mountains and the wooded countryside of Slovakia before reaching the Danube Valley and Hungary's capital city of Budapest, with its world-renowned classical music scene. This afternoon, you will have time to explore on your own before dinner

DAY 7, Sunday - Budapest City Tour
The morning tour begins in Pest with a chance to view the Parliament, the Royal Palace, and Heroes' Square. Then, cross the Danube River on the Elizabeth Bridge into the Buda Hills. Visit Castle Hill to see the 13th century Matthias Coronation Church. From Fisherman's Bastion, admire a panoramic view of the city. Spend the afternoon exploring independently, or join the optional Budapest Opera House & Great Dohany Synagogue. DAY 12, Friday - Prague City Tour
This morning's sightseeing will include a walking tour of the Lesser Town and the Old Town, viewing the 14th century Charles Bridge, with its 30 Baroque statues of various saints. From here, admire the views up to Prague Castle. Continue through the Old Town Square to view the Town Hall, Astronomical Clock, Municipal House, Powder Tower, and the Jewish Quarter. This afternoon, tour to the hilltop Prague Castle complex, the former residence of Bohemian kings, and to the St. Vitus Cathedral, where kings were crowned and battles were fought.
